Thanks, Prof, for sharing. The Courageous Follower book and framework (with the quadrant map) seems like a powerful tool for identifying where team members or direct reports fall — and for thinking through how to help them grow toward the ideal: a Partner.
I also find it interesting that the ideal follower is, in fact, considered a ‘Partner.’ That kind of relationship between leader and partner would definitely require careful navigation of power dynamics and boundaries — but hey, nobody said reaching elite status would be easy.
